PRIVACY
Data Policy
How information is used when you sign in to ChatX Business and use its messaging tools.
Who this covers
This page describes the ChatX Business website, operated as part of ChatX. It covers business account sign-in and sending category-tagged messages through the ChatX API.
Information used by the service
ChatX Business uses your phone number and a one-time code delivered privately in the ChatX app to sign you in. It retrieves your account and business status to determine which tools you can use. Message categories, recipient phone numbers, resolved ChatX account IDs, message content, and delivery requests are processed by the ChatX API when you use those features.
How information is used
Account details are used to verify business access. Message content is used to create the messages you send. Recipient details and category tags are used to address, authorize, and route each request, including checking follower and marketing-consent status.
Session and security
After sign-in, the website stores your ChatX authentication token in an HTTP-only session cookie. The website sends that token to the ChatX API for authenticated requests. The cookie is configured to expire after 30 days; sign out sooner when you finish using a shared device.
Storage and retention
The website does not set a separate retention period for business messages; those records are handled by the ChatX API. For questions about how long account or message data is kept, or to request deletion, contact support.
Business messages
Only send information that you are allowed to share with a recipient. Avoid putting sensitive information in message text unless it is necessary for your message.
Questions and updates
For data questions or requests, use the support page. We may update this page as ChatX Business changes. See the Terms and Conditions for the basic rules of use.
